Wedding of Jessica and James

Love began under the sunshine, on the sand, during a warm day in Margate, NJ. After one date, this couple knew they were meant-to-be. Jessica and James shared the same vision and goal when it came to planning their dream day.

Union Trust fit this couple’s style and vision perfectly. Finley Catering never disappoints and is such a breeze working with their team. This couple enhanced this space with a classic wedding vibe with a “fun, modern twist”. Inspiration from Kate Spade, accents of hot pink flowers (roses, ranunculus, dahlias..) and James suspenders, made this black and white palette pop!

When asked how Jessica felt when seeing James for the first time that day; “I never seen the love of my life look as handsome, I was so giddy – nothing could wipe the smile from my face.”

Jessica found her dress at David’s Bridal. She searched several bridal boutiques and found herself still coming back to this one. A gorgeous detailed bodice, and black belt to accent, adds in just the right amount of drama for an early October wedding.

Capturing these beautiful details and moments was Laura Caporizzo from Drexel Hill PA. She is known for photographing moments in the most genuine and natural  way. This radiates through her work.

A few words from our beautiful couple; “We honestly could not have asked for anything better. Easily one the best decisions we made for the wedding day. I am just now getting my pictures back, and my flowers POP in every single one. What an amazing staff too! I would easily recommend them to any future brides.”

Thank you Jessica and James for letting us be a part of your magical day!

Wedding of Lauren and Stewart

A traveling love story found ground in Philadelphia. This couple’s story starts miles away in New Haven, CT. After a few months, Lauren’s job relocated her to Washington DC but this wouldn’t stop their fire. While dating long distance, alternating weekends of traveling to and from, they attending a friends wedding. While ‘love’ was in the air, Stewart didn’t want to wait any longer to express just how he felt to Lauren. “I couldn’t say I love you too fast enough!”

This couple wanted to be sure both of their personalities shined through their decor and overall theme. Still keeping this a classic, black tie event, the accent of dark purple added just the pop of color they needed. The girls carried picasso mini calla lilies while Lauren carried a classic and modern bouquet of all purple grape velvet mini callas, accented with crystal rhinestones. Statement pieces such as their place card table arrangement, tall centerpieces and ceremony decor, included this same rich purple tone, complimented by hues of pinks, yellows and greens. “Colorful but elegant” couldn’t be a better way to describe this couple’s theme of the evening.

Both their ceremony and reception were held at Cescaphe’s, Downtown Club. This clean, modern venue was the perfect place that fit both their style. The accent of their rich color toned floral arrangements create a beautiful contrast against their white walls and dark wood floors. Their photographer, Daniel Moyer, captures their beauty and details flawlessly. Expressions and moments were captured throughout the evening, even onto the dance floor with the band Paris with EBE Entertainment. And how could they not capture these in-the-moment emotions?!

Lauren and Stewart expressed how they felt their wedding day truly was a dream. With all the decisions they had made over the course of the last year, they felt that no matter how overwhelmed they were, it all came together perfectly. As they stood together to recite their vows, they both expressed how they felt. Lauren explains, “He’s never smiled so affectionately at me. It made my heart melt.” While Stewart says, ” I was so happy that she was going to be my wife and she looked amazingly beautiful. It was the first time it hit me that I was going to marry the most beautiful woman in the world.”

Lauren’s beautifully detailed and beaded wedding gown was found at Bijou Bridal in suburban square, PA by designer Stephen Yearick. We just cannot get enough of these shots! It truly takes our breath away to see such joy and emotion on the most important day of their lives!

After enjoying their magical day with their beloved family and friends, this couple went on a dream honeymoon.. at least we’re daydreaming about it. Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora in French Polynesia. They spent time snorkeling, boating, and swimming in the clear blue waters… yep we’re daydreaming.

They expressed the joy in their planning process; “We met with Carl and he went over my ideas, pinterest pictures, and started from scratch creating designs with the flowers in the shop that day. He had ordered some of the flowers from my pinterest pictures to show me what they would look like. Our ceremony, cake, and reception hall all took my breath away with how beautiful him and his team made it to be.”

Thank you Lauren and Stewart for letting us be a part of your magical day!

Wedding of Amanda and Tyler

This beautiful couple met in New York City. On May 21st, they decided to tie-the-knot in Philadelphia. Starting with “I Do” at Saint John the Evangelist in Philadelphia. Following their union, the iconic Ritz Carlton of Philadelphia sparkled with candle light and beauty throughout their reception. “All the nerves and stress leading up to the wedding day melted away. Seeing each other reminded us of the true reason we were planning this day for so long, and all the nerves turned into excitement.”

Amanda and Tyler knew they wanted their theme to be simple, understated elegance. They used tones of whites, ivories and blush with accents of golds and silvers to compliment the beautiful marble ballroom. Although this couple didn’t work with a wedding planner, they felt they were in excellent hands with The Ritz Coordinators. As they saw the ballroom for the first time that evening Amanda explains how they felt; “Overwhelmed with joy. The whole ballroom came to life.”

Amanda wore a Anne Barge Gown from Kleinfeld’s and her spotless makeup and hair was done by The Philly Hair and Makeup Team. These flawless details were captured by Gabe Cariola, of Philip Gabriel Photography.

To satisfy their sweet-tooth they worked with The Ritz Carlton for their cake design. A mix of red velvet and s’mores hit all the palettes in attendance. Amanda and Tyler truly shined and will continue to throughout their next chapter together.

They enjoyed a honeymoon in the French Riviera. Traveling though Cannes, St. Tropez, Nice, and Monaco. This was a perfect ending to a perfect celebration. This couple shared their thoughts on working with our team; “Our experience with Carl Alan was above and beyond expectations. They made every vision come to life. Marvelous Bat & Bar Mitzvah’s

Not only do the details matter on every single wedding big or small but on each event, each celebration, each bat or bar mitzvah these details are what make the space and design come together as a whole. Each light, wire, ribbon, crystal and each petal.. they all hold a critical role in creating and recreating spaces, transforming these unique spaces into a themed event. These bat and bar mitzvahs below were held at E Lounge in Cherry Hill, The National Museum of American Jewish History and The Franklin Institute respectively.

Creativity unleashes and these events unfold to a new level. As our pictures show just a taste of what our team can create.. creativity is endless.  Often working with many props.. flowers find a fun way to be incorporated. Linens, lighting and lounge furniture are crucial to creating an ambiance.

Whether crystals and glam or science and baseball, each party is unique and amazing.

Wedding of Kristina and Joshua

We couldn’t think of a better way to spend February 14th. This couple knew from early on in their relationship that they shared similar goals and values that would eventually lead them down the aisle together. After meeting at the American University in DC, this couple would find their way back to Philadelphia to celebrate a night of love and union at the College of Physicians.

This space is historically rich with dark wood tones, portraits of historical figures, grand ceilings and architectural detail on the walls and molding. Catering by Design runs this venue and our decor made this space glow with ambiance.

Kristina and Josh both looked to transform this space with an abundance of candle light and texture. As they both felt this space is very masculine, they knew lighting would make all the difference.

Their theme was considered a ‘Winter Wonderland’.. even though it was Valentines Day they played down the red and pumped up the white! This winter wonderland was enhanced with blue LED lights, white branches and the warm glow of candle light. Working with white roses, white mini callas and white orchids the balance of texture and elegance shined through. They ended with a Hot Chocolate bar for dessert. This included alcoholic mix ins.. Yum!

As any wedding day seems to fly by with a blink.. Josh and Kris made sure to take in the moment and savor their day. Josh explains, “Someone told me that the wedding day goes by too quickly, and that the couple needs to stop every once in a while to take a mental picture of the moment. So I was focusing on the beautiful woman in front of me, while also trying to take that mental picture…It was a lot to think about!”

And don’t we know it.. as so many small details go into planning this big day. To ensure they captured all the right moments, they worked with Asya Photography whose details on lighting and angels are just breathtaking…as you can see!

Kris wore a dress designed by Eddy K, found at Rene Elle Couture. Her hair and make up was done by Lauren Stefan of Lauren Stefan, LLC. Although their theme strayed away from Valentines, love was more than present. Josh wore a red time to accent and compliment the day.

From Mardi Gras in New Orleans to Thailand, this couple surrounded themselves in culture after their wedding. They were ecstatic to work with the Carl Alan team and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this couples love chapter on February 14th, 2016!

Thank you Kris and Josh for letting us be a part of your magical day!
