Wedding of Lauren and Stewart

A traveling love story found ground in Philadelphia. This couple’s story starts miles away in New Haven, CT. After a few months, Lauren’s job relocated her to Washington DC but this wouldn’t stop their fire. While dating long distance, alternating weekends of traveling to and from, they attending a friends wedding. While ‘love’ was in the air, Stewart didn’t want to wait any longer to express just how he felt to Lauren. “I couldn’t say I love you too fast enough!”

This couple wanted to be sure both of their personalities shined through their decor and overall theme. Still keeping this a classic, black tie event, the accent of dark purple added just the pop of color they needed. The girls carried picasso mini calla lilies while Lauren carried a classic and modern bouquet of all purple grape velvet mini callas, accented with crystal rhinestones. Statement pieces such as their place card table arrangement, tall centerpieces and ceremony decor, included this same rich purple tone, complimented by hues of pinks, yellows and greens. “Colorful but elegant” couldn’t be a better way to describe this couple’s theme of the evening.

Both their ceremony and reception were held at Cescaphe’s, Downtown Club. This clean, modern venue was the perfect place that fit both their style. The accent of their rich color toned floral arrangements create a beautiful contrast against their white walls and dark wood floors. Their photographer, Daniel Moyer, captures their beauty and details flawlessly. Expressions and moments were captured throughout the evening, even onto the dance floor with the band Paris with EBE Entertainment. And how could they not capture these in-the-moment emotions?!

Lauren and Stewart expressed how they felt their wedding day truly was a dream. With all the decisions they had made over the course of the last year, they felt that no matter how overwhelmed they were, it all came together perfectly. As they stood together to recite their vows, they both expressed how they felt. Lauren explains, “He’s never smiled so affectionately at me. It made my heart melt.” While Stewart says, ” I was so happy that she was going to be my wife and she looked amazingly beautiful. It was the first time it hit me that I was going to marry the most beautiful woman in the world.”

Lauren’s beautifully detailed and beaded wedding gown was found at Bijou Bridal in suburban square, PA by designer Stephen Yearick. We just cannot get enough of these shots! It truly takes our breath away to see such joy and emotion on the most important day of their lives!

After enjoying their magical day with their beloved family and friends, this couple went on a dream honeymoon.. at least we’re daydreaming about it. Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora in French Polynesia. They spent time snorkeling, boating, and swimming in the clear blue waters… yep we’re daydreaming.

They expressed the joy in their planning process; “We met with Carl and he went over my ideas, pinterest pictures, and started from scratch creating designs with the flowers in the shop that day. He had ordered some of the flowers from my pinterest pictures to show me what they would look like. Our ceremony, cake, and reception hall all took my breath away with how beautiful him and his team made it to be.”

Thank you Lauren and Stewart for letting us be a part of your magical day!
